Indexable Boring Bars : SCLCR/L
SCLCR/L boring bars use the two 80 degree corners of CCMT inserts mounted at 95 degree to the axis of the lathe
Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder, as well as internal facing cuts
This is the most versatile type of boring bar, and uses the same inserts as the external SCLCR tool holders
These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.
